am PARADE STARTS
Parade setup is at 9:00 am. The parade starts and ends at the Cliffs Shaft
Museum and goes from Euclid to Main to Division and then comes back to the
museum via Lakeshore Drive. Total length is 1.1 miles.
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm PICNIC
There will be several speakers and Fast Eddie for
entertainment. Tickets are $1 each and can be picked up at the parade setup.
The price of a meal is 4 tickets and includes a pasty, pop and ice cream.
Beer is one ticket. Hard Lemonade is 2 tickets.
Free Museum Tours:
The Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum is planning to be open from 12:00 Noon - 2:00
pm for free tours. In addition a production dump
truck from the mines will be on the grounds by Labor Day for viewing.
Directions:
From Marquette, take US 41 and west to Ishpeming. Take a left at the
light after Pamida (Lake Shore Drive). Look for the signs and Cliffs Shaft
tower.

The
55 plus unit parade route
starts at the lakeshore in Muskegon and ends with a picnic
at Pere Marquette Park
on Lake Michigan with family activities, a carnival, live bands and beer
tent.

Kent/Ionia CLC Labor Day Parade and Picnic
10:00 am PARADE STARTS
Shuttle buses leave from John Ball Park
starting at 7:00 am.
Everyone
is invited to a picnic that includes games for kids, live music, food, union
label and other booths. Thousands of people attend each year with many
locals renting large tents to accommodate the members and the food.
